1.       Keepvid, Keep-tube.com, and youtube-mp3 are all used to make videos into mp3 or just simply downloading the videos. Keepvid is used for downloading videos. Keep-tube.com also downloads videos onto your computer. Youtube-mp3 converts video urls into downloadable mp3’s.

2.       Music rights in Canada are changing and becoming more serious. I think that in one way it’s good that it’s being taken care of, but on the other hand I feel that it came all of a sudden. It’s good that music rights are starting to become more serious, but I feel the way they that the government reacted to it was a bit harsh. There are many people who have downloaded movies and songs over 10 years ago and suddenly they are getting notices of fines. I think it’s unfair because a lot of people would probably not download songs and movies illegally if websites and apps where one can download free music from weren’t available. I kind of think it’s somewhat the fault of the apps and websites that are available, because they tempt people to download music and movies illegally. Though it is also the fault of the people since they don’t want to pay 0.99 cents of 1 song or rent a movie for $ 5-10. In apple products you can download music from iTunes, while in android or Microsoft products it’s not clear how or where to buy songs from.  So if someone has android they will probably download music illegally. In android there is an app where u can buy songs from but not all kinds of music is available. Overall I think it’s the fault of the people and the companies.
